Generations (formerly Minnesota Genealogist) is published four times a year. The journal supports the mission of the Minnesota Genealogical Society by fostering interest in genealogy and in family, state, and local history, and by providing education.

The managing editors invite readers to submit articles. Works with Minnesota or Upper Midwest connections are encouraged, but articles with any regional or ethnic focus are welcome.
