This webinar will help you develop a solid foundation for your research. First you will learn simple tools, including identity profiles and timelines, to organize what you know and provide a springboard for future investigation. Then Shirleen and Lois will teach you how to use those tools to develop detailed, focused questions that will target your research and make it more efficient and productive.

Shirleen Hoffman is a professional genealogical researcher, speaker, consultant, and author from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her specialties include genealogical investigative strategies and hands-on application techniques. She is the current President of the Minnesota Genealogical Society and has completed Boston University’s Certificate in Genealogical Research.

Lois Abromitis Mackin, PhD, is a professional genealogical writer and educator focusing on American and English research and DNA. She currently serves on the IGSI Education Committee and writes for The Septs. She is a past president of the Northland Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and a past director and officer of the Minnesota Genealogical Society.
