MGS Awards Nominations due August 1

MGS will present six major awards at the 4 thAnnual MGS Awards Banquet October 1. The first three awards, open to MGS members, are for service to MGS. The last three are for achievement in genealogy, and open to any member of the broader Minnesota genealogy community.

You probably know someone deserving of one of these awards. Please send a nomination by August 1 to the MGS Awards Committee Chairman, David Suddarth, at dwsuddarth@qmail.com . Please include a short paragraph telling why your nominee deserves a particular award.

In addition, MGS will present the second annual Michael Clark Family History Writing Award. Entries are due July 15. Rules and instructions are at http://www.mngs.org/writingcompetition.html.
