Quarterly Genealogy Programs

MGS sponsors four events each year with guest speakers presenting programs on various aspects of genealogical research, tailored to meet the diverse needs of both beginning and experienced genealogists. These events are open to the public. MGS members receive discounts for most events as well as for most MGS class offerings.

Minnesota Genealogical Society Family History Fair 2010

MGS will present its spring program on April 17 at its library in South St. Paul. This program will feature an opening talk dealing with migration from Europe to America during the 19th century, followed by nine sessions, dealing with family history research. Genealogists will discuss African-American, Bavarian, Danish, Dutch, English, Irish, Italian, Scottish and Yankee family research methods. These will be presented in 3 tracks, with 3 talks per track. See the schedule below. The lunch period will include an "Ask a Genealogist" Q&A session. A bag lunch can be purchased, in advance only.
We request that you advance register, utilizing either PayPal or by check, in order to help facilitate room scheduling. See our website, www.mngs.org for forms & details.
The MGS Library entry fee is waived on this day for program registrants. Details:
