Oct. 16th - The Swedish Genealogical Society of Minnesota Annual "SGSM Fall Research Conference"
on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Minnesota Genealogical Society Atrium/Auditorium at 1185 Concord Street North, South St. Paul where we will host guest speakers Elisabeth Thorsell, editor of the Swedish American Genealogist (SAG) journal from central Sweden; Ingrid Nilsson, well known researcher/speaker from southern Sweden; research specialists Jan Eurenius & Kathy Meade from Genline Sweden/Genline North America and Jeff Svare, research specialist from the LDS FHL in Salt Lake City, UT. Several lectures are scheduled and there will be pre-registered, one-on-one, 30 minute sessions where one of many genealogists will try to solve attendee's genealogical problems and help them search for their Swedish Roots. We will have access to most major (and several private) Swedish and Swedish-American databases. A number of vendor tables will be displaying genealogically-related material, also MANY nice table specials and door prizes will be drawn throughout Saturday, for those present.
